Don't quit track. And don't accept the "diagnosis" of clinical depression from someone on this message board. Many teenagers (and adults for that matter) deal with insomnia from time to time. Consult your family doctor. He or she will be able to direct you to a sleep physician. Insomnia can be troubling and debilitating. But, it can also be treated. Don't fret. Just get to the doc and get some relief.
