Follow-Up:
I have been having episodes of sleep paralisis aince I was about 6 years old. At first they where just mild waking nightmares but as I got older they became more terrifying. I have even had them sitting up and fully awake in my bed. They have included very vivid halucinations accompanied by loud noises and a ''presence''. I have found that the best way to fight it is to not fight it. When I feel it coming on [and there is nothing you can do to stop it] I totaly relax and it makes the episode much less severe. I have to say that I can totaly understand how this phenomenon could be linked to U.F.O. sightings and Demonic possesion because it is so real and so terrifying. You really do feel that someone is in the room with you and that you are being attaked and there is nothing you can do to stop it. My dog has been on the bed when I am having an episode and she is completely oblivious and I think she would react if there was someone there.
