Follow-Up:
I am a recovering addict 14 months clean. I have had many experiences over the last 2-3 years where I have awoken in a state of intense fear and paralysis. The paralysis includes my breathing and head. The only thing working at this point is my eyes and mind and my mind is only focused on the fear and trying to break the paralysis. The sruggle continues until I surrender to whatever it is that is holding me, then I am free to awaken and breath and move and pray and calm my fear. This is a very scary experience and I have come to believe it may be a necessary one for the God of my understanding to humble me and bring me to a point where I am teachable. I have also been awoken twice in the last month or so by a loud, "clean" bang inside of my head. I use the word clean because the sound is absent of any echo or distortion. It is as if I am suspended in space with absolutely nothing else around me and then "BANG!" and I awake. I imagine this space to be white. Just white. I believe this to my God clearing my mind of fear. I feel reborn and mentally clean afterward. My beliefs, however, may not be fact, so it is important for me to explore these events in the case that they may be potentially harmful to me. Any insight and information you could send me on this is greatly appreciated. There are many questions I have. Thank You.
