Follow-Up:
I found your message on a research board where you talked about sleepeating. I didn't even realize that I did until I get up in the morning and find orange peels on the stand beside my bed or an empty plate. Then food missing from the refrigerator and empty cartons in the garbage. My husband even caught me cooking lima beans and eatting them while I was asleep! (who eats LIMA BEANS in their sleep?) He checked the stove and I had left it on. Several times he's gotten up in the morning and found the refrigerator door standing wide open on the stove on. I was visiting an out of town relative for two weeks and they said I got up and SEEMED awake, sat down, conversed with them and ate some fruit, talked to someone on the PHONE, etc. Of course I NEVER remember ANY of these things in the morning. I even called the police on my neighbors and had no idea I'd done it until my husband mentioned it the next morning. I spoke to my psychiatrist about this because like you, I lost around 80 pounds in the last year and a half and do NOT want to gain it back by eatting food and not even KNOWING it. She said she had another patient with similiar symptoms and that some people taking Ambien react in this way. I DO take a large amount each night, 20 mg, under my psychiatrists watch.
