Follow-Up:

This is so ironic how I found this board....I searched "Salty Taste in Mouth" and this board came up. I posted once in Nov. and had trouble find this board again until today. As I mentioned I did post in the Old Clinical Board. In regard to Alpha Lipoic Acid (ALA)...I just received mine in the mail. I read somewhere where ESTROGEN is a NATURAL ANTIOXIDANT and those of us (many of which are postmenopausal women) with diminishing levels of estrogen may not find a great benefit in taking the ALA because of its antioxidant properties. Has anyone just taken the ALA alone and have found that their BMS has greatly improved? I am also on klonopin and neurontin, but does not seem to be helping because of the fact that I should perhaps be taking a higher dosage, but this med makes me sleepy and I go to business everyday and cannot afford to feel tired. I recently read about "Whole Leaf Aloe Vera" and this may be beneficial to us as well. I have to research how to take this...I have liquid aloe vera gel that I have just started taking. I also have an aloe vera plant and it really does work when you burn your skin...I had burned my face with a hair curling iron and after breaking the aloe vera plant leaf and applying the lotion from this plant the burn on my face immediately went away so perhaps the aloe vera gel taking internally can help our condition. I have most recently started taking acidophilus and coral calcium. Has anyone received any relief at all from anything except the klonopin? I know that Bess (who posted on the old board) found relief from Chasteberry, but I did not. BEV
