Follow-Up:
I saw this list of symptoms today on a TMJ web site. Most of the professionals I have seen in the past 4 years, think that my BMS is linked somehow, to damage to the trigeminal nerve that runs from the jaw joint into the face, mouth, etc. They believe that this damage was the result of a two hour dental appointment, where my mouth was forced open with those rubber blocks, (not sure what they are called?) Anyway, I felt my first burning pain, right there in the dentist's office, after about one hour. Common indicators of the TMJ syndrome: - * Pain behind the eyes * In the sinuses & in the ears (without infection) * Chronic neck & shoulder pain * Stuffy sensation & noise or ringing in the ears * A ÔlockedÕ or stiff jaw muscle * Burning sensation in the throat, tongue & side of the nose & dry mouth
