Sleep Paralysis

Follow-Up:

I did not mention before that I have had sleep paralysis since I was about 8 or so. Most often it is right after I've fallen asleep or an hr or so after. I will feel a bad presence and it will wake me up-- a disturbance. Then I will find it has come upon me and completely paralyzed me-- it is terrifying, I know! Though I know the power I have through Jesus Christ, and nothing can possess me, it is still a horrifying experience while it is happening, and all I can say over and over until I can actually move my tongue is "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus..." until I can actually move my mouth and make at least a whisper come out. When I do wake up like this, all I can do is open my eyes. I can see all around me, and I am completely awake (I KNOW I am!), but everything else is just DEAd wEIGHT. Scientists try to explain this away as the body not waking up yet from REM paralysis, but I know in my gut that it's a demonic presence, and have had it confirmed by other Christians who know what it is to be persecuted for Jesus' sake. If you are being attacked like this, then Satan must want you for something-- your life must be a threat to his plans. But God has a better plan for your life-- plans to prosper you and not to harm you. I have also been woken up in the dead of night by a demon banging on the metal frame of my futon bunk bed. It even woke up my mother's dog across the hall, on the other side of two closed doors! Another time I believe it was the same demon I saw walking by the foot of my bed, this time I was woken by a sound of a small cyclone, it seemed, between the two beds of the hotel room, with a friend on the other bed. I don't know the name of the demon or anything, all I remember is it's profile, and size. If you've read previous entries by people on this website, it seems to be the same, across the board, a black thing perched on the foot of their bed, or standing beside their bed, or moving around in the room. Now that I know what it is and not to be afraid of it, I am no longer terrorized by it. It feeds off fear. Every now and then it'll happen to me, but it is really just a minor annoyance now. I know they cannot hurt me, and that the devil has already been defeated. Don't let it lie to you. You can have victory in Jesus Christ.
