Follow-Up:
I, too, have suffered for 6-7 weeks with a salty taste in my mouth. About 2 months ago, I contracted herpes simplex virus on my tongue & throat. At first, I suffered from a bitter taste for about 2 weeks. Took acyclovir (an anti viral med) & eventually the taste in my mouth turned to salty. It has been about 6 weeks with no improvement in sight for the salty taste.
