i suffered fpr 6 months with a salty tongue. It was like i had a salt factory in my mouth. My cure was discontinuing a medication i was taking. (pravachol) used for cholesterol. pravachol is a statin drug, so if your mother is taking a statin drug for cholesterol, check with her doctor and stop it. it took me 6 weeks after stopping to have a normal taste in my mouth. No more salty taste!
