Follow-Up:

I have had surgery on both of my feet. I first went to an orthopedic surgeon that did a horrible job so I went to a podiatrist and he did a great job and sent me to therapy after. The surgeon didn't and that was a major mistake after being off my feet for 2 1/2 months. The last surgery was 3 years ago and they are back with a vengence. They did grow very fast when I went on hormones so I quit. No one would me they thought the hormones contributed to them. My son was just diagnosed with Duypuytren's Contracture - that's in the hand and is somehow associated with Ledderhose's disease. I also have had Morton's neuroma on both feet. In researching lately, I ran across some article that said Brown University knew what to do about the plantar fibromatosis. The main problem with the surgery is that you are off your feet at least 3 weeks. If your Dr. does not prescribe therapy after surgery, go to someone else. I think after the next surgery I will wear orthodics religiously and see if that helps. I'm looking for info like everyone else. The information on it is very scarce.
