Follow-Up:

I have had BMS for almost 2 years now. Mine IS in FACT due to a severed "Lingual Nerve". I know this for sure. The condition was there when I woke up from surgery. I do not have it every single day, all day lng like I did before, however, I do still experience it from time to time. It seems to me that Cold weather makes it flair up more. I also know that for me, anything even slightly spicy or hot, makes it start burning real bad. Gum does not work for me, in fact after a short while it actually starts to hurt from chewing gum. Toothpaste and mouthwash are too "hot" for me. I have found a couple that do help. I went to see a specialist (lingual nerve)and he was familiar with BMS but... didn't have any additional info. on it for me. I have not found anyone who is a "specialist" in this field. Would love to know if there is one out there anywhere. ANYONE? I feel for you all, keep your head up. Thanks, Kerrie
