Follow-Up:
I too have had on and off again salty taste in my mouth (sometimes metallic to bitter) Endoscopy indicated a slightly irritated stomach but doctor didn't feel there was any connection. He put me on prevocid for 3 weeks and it had no effect. My lips even taste salty at times. I'm very thirsty during the night and drink a lot of water and sometimes have very dry mouth at night. I have taken aleve off an don for 3 years since a back injury and surgery. Other than that I can't think of anything in particular that could be triggering this. It seems as time goes on the spells last longer. I have spent hours on the internet trying to diagnose myself...I will try the zinc next.Too weird.
