Follow-Up:
Seems to be mostly females here, but I get these sores, too. I seem to be lucky as they are more ugly & bothersome than painful...but they they tend to affect the first 1/3 of my tongue. I swim a lot so I thought it might be chlorine. I went through a period where I was drinking a ton of strong tea, so I thought it might be caffiene or some acid-based condition. Been to 3 doctors, none know. One thought it might be herpes tongue, but has since considered other-wise ( a course of acyclovir over 3 months didnt help)...the other 2 said no..it wasnt that. My dentist confirmed there was trama, ruled out irritation from dental work, but otherwise had no idea...I see an oral surgeon in a few weeks...in the meantime, if anyone finds anything out..please post it or let me know...thanks
