Follow-Up:
I began having severly chapped,peeling and burning lips the last week in Sept. 04'. I began using lip balms, blistex, neosporin, vasaline, but nothing worked. I quit using my regular lipsticks thinking maybe one had gone bad.? Still didn't work. I have not used any new products on my face or lips that I have not always used over the years. Wether it be toothpaste, face wash, lotion, etc... Went to my PCP in December and he didn't know what it was but gave me a prescription for some cream. The severe dryness, peeling and burning stopped, but only as long as I continued to use the cream. My doctor then referred me to a Dermatologist. He prescriped me another cream called Aclovate. Same results though. It clears up only as long as I use the cream. I was advised to use only one week at a time, and no longer than 2 weeks total. So I'll be scheduling another appt. soon and hopefully can come back with an alternative. This is very distracting though! Embarrasing as well, when this is not something you can hide.
