Follow-Up:
I have just been diagnosed with hereditary Angio Edema and my hands and feet were the first to start swelling. For the past 2 years I have been treated with prednisone. Last month I was tested and it came back positive for this disease. Now I am using antihistimines because several environmental things make me swell. If I go into a carpeted room, my eyes and face will swell. If I smell raw onions, my lips and face and intestines will swell. I am having a hard time trying to cope because I don't know how to control my reactions yet. I am in the doctors office almost daily because I keep reacting to things. I would like to know how other people cope without becoming paranoid and just staying in the house.
