Follow-Up:
I have been on sleeping medications for a couple months and recently developed a salty taste in my mouth. After a while i did some online research and when I stopped taking the medications the salty taste went mostly away. So it may just be your medication affecting the cortex of the adrenal gland to distribute the salt differently, thus causing the salty taste in your mouth. This is just my opinion from what I read online and what I experienced.
