Sleep Lab Technologist

Positions available:

St. Michael’s Hospital is dedicated to the recruitment and selection
ofqualified individuals who demonstrate an understanding and commitment tothe unique mission and values of the Hospital.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs polysomnographic studies and produces clear, quality recordsaccording to the current standards of practice.
  • Records and monitors patients independently and safely during all
    recordings, including nights.
  • Scores and anaylzes all data relevant to the clinical interpretation
    of the polysomnographic record.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must have Bachelor of Science degree from a recognized institution or be a Registered Respiratory Care Practitioner (RRCP); or Registered Technologist (RT); and be registered as a Polysomnography Technologist within 18 months of hire.
  • Must have a current CPR certificate.
  • Previous experience working in a Sleep Lab or related experience in
    the field of EEG testing, or Pulmonary Functions, or Kinesiology, or
    Respiratory Therapy is an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proven ability to function in a co-operative and facilitative manner
    with staff, patients, etc.
  • Related courses or workshops would be an asset.
  • Acceptable attendance record.
  • Demonstrated commitment to and understanding of the Mission and Values of St. Michael’s Hospital
