Totts Gap seeks to bring together the concepts and the findings of Biomedical and Behavioral Sciences through programs of research and interdisciplinary colloquia. The underlying premise is that the distinction between health and illness is established by multitude of linear and nonlinear interactions -- concrete and symbolic -- between host and environment. Through its research and colloquium programs, Totts Gap aims to provide a stimulating educational experience for young investigators and to encourage them to independent thought and inquiry.
